Joan Romero is a 25-year-old game developer from Northern Virginia. Joan is the former CEO and Lead Designer of FlyGuy Interactive LLC, a company that worked with private brands to develop simulators for educational and entertainment purposes. Joan ran FlyGuy for 6 years, and through this time discovered the value of making systems designed to help people learn and grow. While at FlyGuy, Joan collaborated with dozens of employees and clients to design educational games for USAID, Communities in Schools, The Historical Movement Archive, and the State Park Services. Additionally, Joan has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Game Design at George Mason University. In her spare time, Joan Romero works on a variety of projects, specializing primarily in Level Design.
