Ica: The Second Age

Ica: The Second Age is a tabletop rpg set in the year 2332 after a mysterious event called The First Apocalypse wipes out nearly all life on Earth, and drastically alters the planet’s climate. The game is built around resource management. Each player has 3 resource bars: Health, Stamina, and Sanity. These resources allow players to perform attacks and special abilities, but if any of them hits 0 the player becomes incapacitated. This makes combat risky, incentivizing players to scavenge for items that help them replenish their health, rest to keep up their stamina, and prepare for every encounter they may face. Ica also lacks a traditional leveling system in favor of upgradeable gear and training. Each weapon and armor piece in Ica is customizable, with access to modification slots that improve the player character’s statistics and provide them with new abilities. This allows players to mix and match equipment to suit their situations, rather than committing to a static build that may not apply to every encounter. Training on the other hand gives players access to new abilities, expanding their roster of moves to give them new ways to vanquish the various horrors that ravage Ica.
